Jesus’ closest friends/disciples did not immediately recognize him.
Could it be that each of you/me have encountered Jesus along the way in our lives, and we didn’t recognize him?
The risen Christ is still appearing to people all over the world. He appeared to the Apostle Paul long after Pentecost (1 Corinthians 15:8).
- He comes to engage us with a question: Do you love me? (John 21, 3 times).
- He comes in dreams and visions.
- He speaks words unto us.
- He comes to eat with us (Charcoal fire/fish) >> Holy Communion
- As you have done to the least of these you have done to me.
The risen Jesus is our connection to the spiritual/Kingdom realm. He can appear in our lives at any time.
