Senior Pastor David Housholder has 30 years of experience and is a Fulbright Scholar in New Testament. He has been married to his bride, Wendy, since 1982, and father to his son Lars since 1988. He founded the WELL in 2006. He also works at Concordia University in Irvine. He also teaches surfing at Newport Beach. He is the author of four books (see his page on Amazon). "Pastor House," as we call him, loves teaching Bible, is very informal, and enjoys hiking in the desert with Wendy and snowboarding at Big Bear in the winter. He has done a lot of work in radio (KBRT--The Bottom Line--AM 740 2010-2013) and media. He got his BA in Tacoma, Washington in 1983 and his MDiv in Chicago in 1988. He did doctoral level study at the University of Bonn in Germany. He speaks fluent German and Dutch and reads biblical Greek and Hebrew.
